Man stabbed; woman charged at Albury

A woman will face court today charged after allegedly stabbing a man during a domestic-related incident at Albury overnight.

About 6pm (Sunday 6 September 2020), a 36-year-old man and 39-year-old woman were involved in a verbal argument in a unit at a caravan park on North Street, Albury.

Police will allege the woman stabbed the man in the thigh, before a struggle ensued.

The woman then allegedly assaulted the man with a baseball bat, before fleeing in a silver Volkswagen Golf.

Officers from Murray River Police District attended and located the woman a short distance away.

She was arrested on Eames Street and taken to Albury Police Station, where she was charged with reckless wounding – DV.

She was refused bail and is due to appear in Albury Local Court today (Monday 7 September 2020).

The injured man was taken to Albury Hospital in a stable condition.

Inquiries are continuing.
