A man and a teenager have faced court, charged after an alleged break and enter incident in the state's far west on the weekend.
About 6am Sunday 16 November 2025, officers attached to Barrier Police District were called to a home on Wills Lane, Broken Hill, with reports of a break, enter and steal.
Upon arrival, police were told unknown people had forced entry into the locked home and into sheds on the property, between 9pm Saturday 15 November 2025 and 6am Sunday 16 November 2025.
Police will allege the group stole an amount of money and power tool batteries.
A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced.
About 1.30am yesterday (Monday 17 November 2025), police were patrolling a caravan park on Rakow Street when they located and spoke to a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man.
They were both arrested, before being taken to Broken Hill Police Station and each charged with aggravated break and enter with intent-in company-steal.
The 16-year-old boy was refused bail to appear before a children's court yesterday (Monday 17 November 2025).
The 18-year-old man was refused bail to appear before Broken Hill Local Court yesterday (Monday 17 November 2025).
The alleged stolen items were recovered by police and seized for forensic examination.
Investigations are continuing.
