Man to face court on northern suburbs jewellery store robberies, SA

Police have arrested a man following an investigation into two northern suburbs jewellery store break-ins this week, according to SA Police.

About 1.50am on Saturday 2 September, entry was gained to a jewellery store at the Parabanks Shopping Centre complex by cutting a hole in the roof and a significant amount of jewellery was stolen.

Entry was gained to another jewellery store at Hollywood Plaza about 2.15am on Thursday 7 September however nothing was stolen during the break-in.

As a result of investigations, Elizabeth CIB detectives yesterday arrested a 20-year-old Elizabeth Vale man in relation to both break-ins and an amount of stolen jewellery has been recovered.

The arrested man was charged with two counts of aggravated serious criminal trespass, property damage and theft. He was refused bail and is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.
