A man – wanted on an outstanding warrant – has been charged with serious domestic violence offences after he was found in the roof of a Dubbo home.
On Thursday 5 February 2026, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended a home in Narromine and spoke to a 31-year-old man, wanted in relation to a previous alleged offence.
The man was arrested; however, following a wrestle with officers he broke free and escaped.
Police subsequently applied for and were granted a warrant for his arrest.
On Monday 9 February 2026, police were called to a home on Myall Street, Dubbo, following reports of a domestic violence-related incident after a 23-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by a 31-year-old man, known to her.
The man had left prior to police arrival and the woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for head injuries.
About 9.50pm the same day, police were called to a home at Baird Street, Dubbo, following reports a 28-year-old woman had already received threats online.
Officers attached to the Western Domestic Violence High Risk Offender Team commenced an investigation into the whereabouts of the 31-year-old man.
As part of inquiries, police attended the home on Myall Street, Dubbo, about 5.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 11 February 2026), and spoke to the 23-year-old woman.
After hearing a noise from the roof cavity, officers located and arrested the 31-year-old man before he was taken to Dubbo Police Station.
He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (DV), and use carriage service to threaten to kill.
The outstanding warrant was also executed, and he was charged with hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty, assault police officer in execution of duty and failure to comply with reporting obligations.
The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Local Court 4 today (Thursday 12 February 2026).
