Man, Woman Charged in Broken Hill Stabbing

A man and woman have been charged following a stabbing in the state's west.

Shortly after 11:15am yesterday (Thursday 18 September 2025), emergency services were called to Thomas Lane, Broken Hill following reports of a stabbing.

Officers from Barrier Police District attended the scene and located a 47-year-old man with stab wounds.

NSW Ambulance paramedics also attended and treated the man. He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident commenced.

Following inquiries, at 3:30pm yesterday (Thursday 18 September 2025) police attended an address on Bagot Street, Broken Hill and arrested a 36-year-old woman.

Police also located and seized a vehicle which will undergo an examination by specialist officers.

The 36-year-old woman was taken to Broken Hill Police Station where she was charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm accessory after the fact to an offence.

She was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 4 today (Friday 19 September 2025).

Following further inquiries, at 5:15pm yesterday (Thursday 18 September 2025) police attended an address on Warren Street, Broken Hill and arrested a 31-year-old man.

While at the address police located and seized items allegedly linked to the incident.

The 31-year-old man was taken to Broken Hill Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 4 today (Friday 19 September 2025).

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
