Man, woman critical after crash near Narrandera, NSW

A man and a woman are in a critical condition after a single-vehicle crash in the state’s Riverina region this morning, NSW Police say.

About 6.15am (Saturday 22 December 2018), a Toyota Hilux utility was travelling west on the Sturt Highway, Galore, about 45km south east of Narrandera, when it left the road and rolled.

The driver, a 19-year-old man from Penrith, and his passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Jordan Springs, were trapped for a short time.

They were both released and taken to Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital, before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit attended and conducted an examination at the scene.

Inquiries are continuing and anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dash cam vision is urged to come forward.
