Manningham Footpath, Road Inspections Begin

Manningham Council

We're checking the condition of our footpaths and roads this February and March to help keep Manningham safe, accessible and easy to get around.

These inspections help us plan future maintenance, upgrades and improvements as part of our regular asset condition assessments.

What you may see in your neighbourhood

Our authorised contractor, Fedasan, will be carrying out inspections using clearly marked vehicles, including:

  • cars fitted with cameras completing road inspections
  • e‑bikes or mobility scooters inspecting footpaths and shared paths at walking speed
  • hazard lights or warning devices while recording
  • vehicles travelling at normal road speeds while undertaking assessments.

Why this work matters

Regular inspections of footpaths and roads helps us:

  • understand the condition of our assets
  • prioritise maintenance and renewal works
  • improve safety, accessibility and mobility
  • better plan long‑term infrastructure investment
  • continue providing safe and reliable paths and roads for all Manningham residents.

Your privacy matters

  • Cameras capture road and footpath surfaces only, including kerbs, channels and signage assets.
  • Faces and number plates are automatically de‑identified.
  • All footage is used strictly for Council asset management purposes.
