Marine facility upgrades across Tasmania

A number of boating facilities across the state have received upgrades through $1 million from the Recreational Boating Fund.

There were 14 facility upgrades in 2019-20, highlighted in the Marine and Safety annual report, including:

*Lake Leake pontoon installation;

*Musselroe Bay landing stage;

*Dodges Ferry walkway;

*Lake Burbury launching area;

*Macquarie Heads launching area;

*Tomahawk launching area; and

*Craigbourne Dam upgraded access.

These upgrades have improved access and facilities for commercial and recreational fishers in Tasmania.

The annual report also highlighted the commencement of our long-term dredging program for barway access at St Helens.

It also showed there were more than 10,000 vouchers issued through the Tasmanian Government's life jacket replacement program.
