During its closed plenary session in Venice, Italy, the Council of Europe's Venice Commission elected Marta Cartabia as its new president. Marta Cartabia is a full professor of constitutional law at Bocconi University in Milan, President Emerita of the Constitutional Court of Italy and former Minister of Justice of Italy.
