Martin Jones Named New HMCIP Chief

Caroline Corby, Chair of the Parole Board this morning announced:

"Following a public appointment exercise, we are pleased to share that Martin Jones, who has fantastically served as CEO of the Parole Board for the past 8 years, will be leaving the Board to commence in his new role as His Majesty's Chief Inspector of Probation on 1st March 2024 for a three-year term until 27 February 2027.

Martin has been a fantastic leader at the Parole Board during a period of significant change bringing more understanding and transparency to the parole system as a whole. He will be sorely missed by staff, members and stakeholders who he was worked closely with over the years. We wish him the best of luck in his new role".

It is important for the Parole Board that it continues to have strong leadership from its CEO and we are pleased to further announce that Faith Geary will commence in post as Interim Chief Executive Officer at the Parole Board from 1st March 2024.

Faith has been pivotal in the Parole Board's journey over the past 8 years from her initial appointment in 2015 as Director for Business Improvement and Development followed by her role as Chief Operating Officer in 2019. Her valuable insight and inspiring leadership will allow us to succeed in continually enhancing the Board's objectives.

We will launch a campaign for the permanent Chief Executive Officer role in the coming weeks.
