Masks and sanitisers available for Ballina Shire community

NSW Health has provided Ballina Shire Council with face masks, sanitisers and wipes to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

These items are for community organisations, public transport operators, retail and essential businesses that remain open under the current public health order.

A collection point will be established at the Ballina Indoor Sports Centre carpark where community facilities staff will oversee the contactless distribution process. Supplies will be distributed from a Ballina Shire Council van outside the indoor sports centre.

The supplies will be available for collection on Tuesday 17 August, Wednesday 18 August, and Thursday 19 August 2021 from 9am – 11am each day, at the Ballina Indoor Sports Centre, 63 Cherry Street.

The following customer limits will be in place: two boxes of masks, two bottles of sanitizer (500ml) and one pack of wipes per operator.

The distribution period may be extended depending on the supplies available. Council will provide an update to the community later in the week.
