Families, communities and businesses in the Temiskaming Shores region will benefit from new tourism and growth opportunities thanks to a Government of Canada investment of $650,000. This FedNor funding will enable the Tri Town Ski & Snowboard Village to transform its existing facility into an all-season multi-use centre.

Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing-Timiskaming, made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor.

Specifically, the funding will enable the Tri Town Ski & Snowboard Village to construct a new 3,500-square-foot tourism facility, complete landscaping, parking and chalet enhancements, as well as upgrade its biking, hiking and ski trails. Once complete, the centre will serve as a tourism hub for the region, connecting tourists with various experiences, outfitters and accommodation providers.
