Cairns Regional Council advises the roundabout at the intersection of McLeod Street and Grove Street in Cairns North will be closed to traffic on Sunday (4 July) between 6am and 6pm.
The closure will allow line marketing for bicycle safety, the last stage in the safety upgrade of the roundabout.
Since April, Council has resealed the road surface, upgraded kerb and channel, installed traffic islands and improved off-road connections.
Local traffic will be permitted under traffic control. Detours will be in place for all other road users.
Council apologises for any inconvenience.
