Medals Stolen In Caroline Springs

Melton Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Caroline Springs last week.

It is understood an unknown offender gained access to a residence on Renfrey Gardens between 15 June and 17 June.

The unoccupied property was undergoing renovations at the time.

A number of personal items were stolen, including three distinctive medals:

- The Order of Australia (2019)

- The Winston Churchill Fellowship medal

- Meritorious Medal for Services to the Victorian Community.

The medals, which the victim was awarded for over 30 years of advocacy within the African community, are distinctive in appearance and have the 55-year-old victim's name engraved.

Investigators have released sourced images of the medals, in the hopes that someone can provide information on their whereabouts.
