Men arrested after robbery in Seacliff Park, SA

Southern District CIB detectives have arrested three men after they assaulted and robbed a ride share driver in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to SA Police.

Police will allege that just after 12.30am on Saturday 13 October, a ride share driver picked up three men from the Esplanade, Seacliff Park. During the ride the front passenger became verbally abusive and assaulted the 44-year-old driver.

The passenger pulled on the handbrake causing the car to crash into the verge. All three passengers exited the car and approached the driver and assaulted him.

The men left on foot prior to police arrival. The male victim suffered minor injuries during the incident and the vehicle was also damaged.

Following investigations, police arrested a 19-year-old man, a 21-year-old man and a 24-year old man all from Sheidow Park and charged them with aggravated robbery. All three men were bailed to appear at the Christies Beach Magistrate Court at a later date.
