Mercedes Benz Stolen in Richmond

Police are appealing for public assistance after a Mercedes Benz sedan was stolen in Richmond earlier this week.

Investigators have been told the black Mercedes CLK 63 sedan was parked in Waltham Street when it was stolen at approximately 6.30pm on 1 July.

Police have been told unknown offenders approached the owner from behind as he walked along Waltham Street and hit him with an unknown object, rendering him unconscious.

When he awoke, his keys and vehicle were gone.

Investigators have released an image of a similar vehicle in the hope that someone may recognise it.

Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area.
