A phone call Glenthorne couple received this morning has turned extraordinary when they found out they were the lucky winners of $1 million from the Monday & Wednesday Lotto. The couple's entry was one of the two division one winning tickets in the draw 4337 held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
The news came as a complete shock, eliciting a reaction that was both humorous and genuine.
“You’re kidding me! I think I’m going to faint,” said the husband upon receiving the call from a lotto official.
"That’s unreal! Just unreal!"
Initially skeptical, the husband questioned the authenticity of the call.
“I thought you were scamming us."
The couple, who were accustomed to smaller wins, expressed their disbelief and gratitude.
“This is unbelievable. We usually only win about $13," the couple shared.
"Thank you so much. We’ll be able to pay off the mortgage."
The win brought a mix of joy and disbelief, with the husband admitting, “I’m still shaking.”
