Milk bar robbed at West Footscray

Police are appealing for public assistance after two men robbed a milk bar at West Footscray last month, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told two men wearing balaclavas attended the store on Palmerston Street about 6.15pm on Wednesday 24 January.

It is believed the men, armed with a knife and a tomahawk approached the counter when the attendant locked herself in a rear room.

One of the bandits jumped the counter and stole the cash register.

The pair then fled the scene with the cash register and were last seen running east on Alma Street.

Investigators have released images of two men that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
