Millie dog reunited with owner

Police today are reuniting Millie the dog with her owner after she was taken during a theft in Blind Bight last month.

Police received information that Millie was located on the street by council Rangers in The Avenue, Montrose on Tuesday the 2 July.

She was then taken to the Animal Aid in Coldstream, where staff recognised Millie as a result of the social media coverage.

Millie was in her owner's car when the car was stolen from outside a milk bar on Anchorage Drive about 8.30am on Saturday 22 June.

The vehicle was located on 24 June on Warrigal Road in Bentleigh.

A 38-year-old woman from Hampton East was arrested in Bayside and has been released pending further enquiries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
