Milne Bay Aquatic Centre to close for maintenance

Toowoomba's Milne Bay Aquatic Centre will close next week for essential maintenance work.

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) Environment and Community Portfolio Chair Cr James O'Shea said the closure was needed so TRC could facilitate important maintenance work coming into the swim season.

"Council knows how popular the Milne Bay Aquatic Centre is, so we are keeping the closure to a minimum to allow this essential maintenance work to be undertaken ahead of the swim season," Cr O'Shea said.

What do Milne Bay users need to know:

  • The 25 metre pool, spa,sauna,program pool and cafewill beclosed fromMonday, 14 August 2023. The 50 metre pool remains closed for the winter season. Services that arerunning during this time include the gym, group fitness classes and the creche. There are no aqua classes running over this time.
  • Following this, the whole centre and all services areclosed fromWednesday, 16 August 2023,reopening onThursday, 24 August 2023.

All memberships will be suspended for the closure time and no direct debit payments will be deducted.

All memberships and visit passes will be able to be used and reciprocated at the Highfields Fitness and Recreation Centre during this time.

The Highfields pool also remains closed for the winter season
