Missing girl in Ayr, QLD

Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a girl reported missing in Ayr.

The 14-year-old was last seen yesterday evening just before midnight at an address in Chippendale Street but has not been seen since.

Concerns are held for her welfare as her behaviour is out of character.

Police do not believe that her disappearance has anything to do with the current flood situation.

She is described as Aboriginal in appearance, around 160cm tall and has a slim build and black hair.

Anyone who has seen her is being urged to contact police.
