Missing man, Hope Vale

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 77-year-old man reported missing from the Hope Vale area in the state’s far north, Queensland Police say.

Roy McGuffie (pictured) has not been seen or heard from since sometime last month.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Roy is described as Caucasian, around 175cm tall with a thin build, blue eyes and grey thinning hair tied in a pony tail.

He may be travelling in a white Subaru Outback with current Queensland registration 465WCX (similar to pictured).

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Roy or know his whereabouts to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.

If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.

You can report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers, a registered charity and community volunteer organisation, by calling 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppersqld.com.au 24hrs per day.
