Missing Siblings, Smithfield

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 17-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl reported missing from Smithfield, Cairns.

The siblings were last seen on Landsborough Drive in a taxi around 9.45am today, April 15.

Police and family hold serious concerns for their welfare due to multiple medical conditions.

The 17-year-old boy is described as approximately 160cm tall with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt.

The 16-year-old girl is described as approximately 158cm tall with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black, oversized shirt with green on the front and black shorts.

Police have information that leads them to believe the pair may be heading to Mackay or South Australia.

Police are appealing to the siblings or anyone with information regarding their whereabouts to immediately contact police.
