Missing swimmer, Surfers Paradise

Police are currently coordinating a search and rescue operation following reports of a missing swimmer at the Gold Coast.

At 2.30am, officers were called to the Esplanade at Surfers Paradise where three people had entered the water but only two had returned back to shore.

A woman was uninjured while a man was treated by QAS on the beach.

Water police, Volunteer Marine Rescue and Rescue 500 are involved in the search for the missing man.
