Acclaimed First Nations entertainer Mitch Tambo will appear at the upcoming Men of Bourke Forum 2025, joining a powerful lineup of speakers, cultural facilitators and service providers for a two-day community event focused on men's identity, wellbeing and healing.

Held from 16-17 June at Bourke Christian Church, the forum is presented by Bourke Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (BACHS) and community partners. It provides a space for men to come together, share stories and strengthen cultural and community connections.

A proud Gamilaraay man, Tambo will take part in the forum's second and final day on Tuesday 17 Jun as a keynote speaker in the morning and deliver a performance as part of his national 'I Am Me' tour in the evening. Known for blending traditional language, storytelling and contemporary music, Tambo's tour is designed to engage and inspire, drawing from his own lived experience and background as a social worker.

"I'm always open about the challenges I've faced and how I've gotten to where I am today – a music artist and proud family man," said Mitch Tambo. "My visits are safe spaces for important discussions."

The Men of Bourke Forum builds on the success of last year's event, which brought together men from across the region for two days of open dialogue, practical workshops and cultural reconnection. The 2025 program includes keynote talks, panel discussions, creative sessions and roleplay exercises focused on real-life challenges such as conflict resolution.

"This forum is about healing, it's about truth and it's about standing strong in culture," said Jay Forrester, Acting CEO of BACHS. "Mitch brings a message that aligns with all of that. He speaks to the power of story and identity, and we're proud to have him as part of this year's event."
