Molotov cocktail thrown at Prospect, South Australia

Police are investigating after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Prospect home last night.

Police and fire crews responded to reports of a fire at the front of a house in Elizabeth Street, Prospect at 11.10pm on Monday 14 October.

The fire was extinguished by the occupants. There was no damage to the property and no injuries reported.

A man was seen running west down Elizabeth Street, towards Churchill Road.

Police Dog Axe and handler searched the area and tracked the suspect towards the railway line but then lost the scent.

Western District CIB detectives attended the scene and don't believe this was a random incident.

Investigations are continuing.
