Monash Student Film Series

Monash University's student films are set to hit the big screen at Federation Square.

Against a spectacular city backdrop, viewers will enjoy a curated selection of the best films created by Monash's Film and Screen Studies students in recent years, with hour long screenings starting at 6.00pm on Monday 3, Tuesday 4, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June.

At 4-10 minutes in length, these short creative documentary films produce a dynamic vision of Melbourne life told from the perspective of the engaged – and sometimes enraged – undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in Monash's School of Media, Film and Journalism.

Poetic, playful and full of life, the films span a diverse range of topics, including Melbourne's drag scene, fishing in Port Phillip bay, and the relentless pace of a growing city.

This is a free event open to all ages.
