Month-long festival offers plenty of fun

The largest community celebration for seniors in regional Victoria will be held in Geelong during October.

The month-long Geelong Seniors Festival allows people to explore new interests, strengthen social networks and improve their knowledge and skills.

A proud partner of the Victorian Seniors Festival, Geelong's festival program is packed with a variety of events daily from 1 October to 31 October.

Activities include:

  • Musical performances – jazz, classical, country and western;
  • Theatre shows;
  • Ballroom and old-time dances, as well as dance lessons;
  • A weekly bike ride;
  • Photography workshops;
  • Art exhibitions;
  • Shorebird strolls, guided walks and beekeeping information
  • Financial information sessions and special offers; and
  • Club open days

The Geelong Seniors Festival provides a great chance for people to experience a range of activities and shows, for little or no cost.

There are plenty of opportunities for people to embrace the festival theme of 'Get into it!', with more than 120 events to choose from.

The festival offers great insight into what is happening in Geelong, with specialist local clubs and interest groups hosting events to showcase their ongoing activities.
