After missing not one but two flights home, a Mordialloc mum touched down just in enough time to grab a TattsLotto ticket from her local newsagency which delivered her a life-enhancing $800,000.
The beachside Melbournian held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto, draw 4611, drawn Saturday 27 September 2025 and takes home $800,542.49.
The chirpy woman was enjoying a quiet Sunday morning with her beloved family when a phone call from us completely turned her day around.
"Oh my god! Oh my god!" she cried.
"Kids! We've won TattsLotto!
"I am in complete shock! I feel like I'm dreaming.
"Oh my god. I love you! You don't understand how life-changing this is for my family. You've made my day - no, my entire year!
"My kids, brother and his kids are all here, and my husband will be here soon. They're all here listening in.
"I actually can't believe it. It seems like it was meant to be. I was waiting in Dubai airport for 18 hours, and it took around 39 hours in total to get home.
"I missed two flights,, and I thought I was never going to make it back.
"When I got home, I was umming and ahing on whether or not I should bother getting a ticket because I was so tired, and I was also going to go to a different newsagency to my normal one.
"But oh my god. I'm so glad I went to my local and still got the ticket!
"I'm going to guard this ticket with my dear life. I'm going to lock it in a safe!"
The delighted woman shared the unexpected windfall would help her family move forward and secure their future.
"You've seriously changed my entire family's life. You have no idea!" she shared.
"This will help us get ahead - all the kids!
"I'm going to call my husband who is overseas right now and give him the best news. I hope he cries! I've never seen him cry in my entire life!"
Her winning entry was purchased at The Dream Shop, Shop 8, Plaza Shopping Centre, 600 Main Street, Mordialloc.
The Dream Shop owner Jimmy Wan said the entire team were so happy to have made another persons dreams come true.
