More Support for Businesses with Extended Restrictions

NT Government

The Territory Government has announced an extra Small Business Lockdown Payment today, offering an additional $1000 to businesses which couldn't open this week due to current COVID-19 restrictions, such as gyms, yoga studios and market holders.

This payment is available in addition to the initial Business Lockdown Payment which is also a one-off payment of $1000 - bringing the total for this cohort to $2000.

So far, over 2650 businesses have applied for the Small Business Lockdown Payment and we have already awarded over $1 million in payments.

Eligible small businesses for the additional payment are those with a turnover above $75,000 and below $10 million and no more than 20 full time equivalent staff, and who had to remain closed following the Chief Health Officer's direction.
