NSW Gov

A further 17 projects have been declared as State Significant Development (SSD) following recommendations from the Housing Delivery Authority (HDA).

Of the declared proposals, 13 are in metropolitan Sydney and four are in regional New South Wales.

If all are lodged and approved, this could create more than 7,800 homes including affordable housing across New South Wales.

Since the formation of the HDA, 325 proposals amounting to 110,000 potential homes have been declared State significant.

To date, 175 projects have had Secretary Environmental Assessment Requirements issued, 37 have lodged State Significant Development applications and 2 projects have been determined.

Recommendations from the HDA are published as required under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 before the SSD declaration.
