More than just a suspect vehicle in Beaconsfield

Pakenham police have located more than a suspect vehicle in Beaconsfield late last night, Victoria Police say.

Police were patrolling the area about 10.30pm when they sighted a car near vacant land in Monica Way.

There were two people inside the Mazda sedan and a man squatting beside the car.

Police searched the vehicle and located a loaded homemade firearm under a seat and a large quantity of cash.

A search of the male passenger located a knuckle duster and a quantity of drugs, the second male was searched and a quantity of drugs was also located.

The female driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The 24-year-old Pakenham woman was charged with driving related offences.

The 26-year-old Pakenham man was charged with drug related offences and possess prohibited weapon.

The 25-year-old Berwick man was charged with drug related offences and possess unregistered handgun.

All three have been bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court in February.
