Police from Endeavour Hills were left shaking their heads after they picked up a drunk driver more than six times over the limit in Narre Warren North Wednesday morning.
The woman was first spotted driving on the Monash Freeway, near Ernest Wanke Road, unable to stay within her lane about 10am.
Officers intercepted the Nissan Dualis wagon and spoke to the 30-year-old driver before she returned a positive preliminary breath test.
A subsequent evidentiary breath test returned a reading of 0.326.
The woman's vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1138.10.
It is expected the woman will be charged on summons in relation to drink driving.
