More than twice the speed limit, SA

Police have arrested two men man after stopping a car for speeding at Woodville South a short time ago, according to SA Police.

Just before 6am on Saturday 11 June, patrols were conducting laser duties on Port Road when they detected a Commodore sedan travelling at 125km/h in a 60km/h zone.

The driver was stopped and breath tested and returned an alleged blood alcohol reading on 0.171.

The 24-year-old from Morphett Vale has been charged with speed dangerous and drink driving. His car was impounded for 28 days and he was issued with an immediate 12 month loss of licence.

His passenger, a 24-year-old man from Cherry Gardens, was also arrested and has been charged with fail to truly answer.

The pair have been bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
