Mossman homicide investigation – images released as part of an appeal for info

Detectives investigating the alleged homicide of a 38-year-old Mossman man have released images of the man’s vehicle in the hopes of tracing its movement, Queensland Police say.

The vehicle, a white 1998 Holden Rodeo utility (as pictured – except for the signage) was located on fire at around 9.50am on the Mossman-Mount Molloy Road at Cassowary on Tuesday, October 23.

Investigators are wanting to hear from anyone who saw the vehicle between October 17 and October 23.

Detectives would also like to speak to anyone who walked along the Mossman-Mount Molloy Road any time after 6pm on Wednesday, October 17 and Tuesday the 23rd.

Yesterday afternoon police located the remains of a man on a property at Killaloe, South Mossman and later charged a 27-year-old Mossman man with murder.

The 38-year-old man had been reported missing on October 17.
