Motorbike stolen during armed robbery, NSW

Police are searching for a man following an armed robbery in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

Just after 8pm today, a 21-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were at a home on Cathy Way, Seven Hills, when the younger of the two men allegedly produced a firearm.

Police have been told a 21-year-old man threatened a 41-year-old man with the gun, and demanded a number of items from inside the home, before demanding the keys for the older man’s black and green Kawasaki ZX100R Ninja motorbike.

A short struggle began and the older man was struck in the head with the gun, the firearm was dropped and the younger man fled the scene on the bike.

Officers attached to Blacktown Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Police would like to speak to a man who might be able to assist with inquiries. He is describes as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait islander appearance, about 165-175cm tall of thin build, with black hair and black eyes.

Police are urging anyone with information of who sees the motorbike, with registration plates AOY39, is urged to contact detectives from Blacktown Police Station via Crime Stoppers.
