Motorcycle rider dies after Frankston collision

A man riding a dirt bike has died following a collision in Frankston overnight.

Police have been told a motorcycle and car collided at the intersection of Foot and Williams streets on Wednesday 25 October about 10.50pm.

The rider, believed aged in his 30s, sadly died at the scene.

The 44-year-old driver, and sole occupant of the car, stopped at the scene and has spoken with police.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives attended the scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Detectives are appealing for motorists who may have been in the area or in the vicinity of intersection, prior the collision, to come forward.
