Motorcycle Rider Dies After Preston Collision

A man has died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a vehicle in Preston this evening.

It is understood the rider was travelling south on High Street when he collided with a vehicle turning from Gower Street into High Street about 6.40pm.

The rider, a man in his 60s, was treated at the scene by paramedics but died en route to hospital.

The driver and sole occupant of the Mercedes, a 53-year-old Preston man, remained at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.
