Motorcycle rider dies in crash - Mid North Coast

An investigation is underway after a motorcyclist died in a wo-vehicle crash on the Mid North Coast yesterday.

About 2.40pm (Sunday 6 June 2021), emergency services were called to King Creek Road, King Creek, about 5km east of Wauchope, after a motorcycle and Holden Statesman sedan collided.

The rider, a 51-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, he died at the scene.

The Holden driver, a 74-year-old man, was taken to Port Macquarie Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He also underwent mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established by officers from Mid North Coast Police District, before investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit attended.

Investigations continue.
