Motorcycle rider seriously injured in crash, NSW

Police are investigating after a motorcycle crashed in the Blue Mountains, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Great Western Highway and Weemala Avenue, Linden, about 2.30pm today (Saturday 26 May 2018), following reports a motorcycle had veered off the road and into a guard rail.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the rider, a 53-year-old woman, at the scene before she was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Inquiries are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
