A man has died following a single-vehicle crash on the state's north coast.
About 11:00am on Sunday 22 February 2026, emergency services were called to Numinbah Road, Numinbah, west of Murwillumbah, following reports a motorcycle had left the roadway and crashing into a tree.
Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District attended and were told the rider - 60-year-old man - was part of a group travelling towards Murwillumbah.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with critical injuries.
Yesterday, (Monday 23 February 2026), police were informed the motorcycle rider had died in hospital.
Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
