Cardinia Highway Patrol officers are investigating the death of a 20-year-old motorcyclist in Pakenham last month.
The pit bike rider was travelling along McGregor Road when he collided with a Mercedes SUV about 6.20pm on 27 April.
The Pakenham man was taken to hospital where he died yesterday.
The Mercedes driver, a 70-year-old Pakenham man, was uninjured and stopped at the scene to speak with police.
Investigators will prepare a report for the coroner.
