Motorcyclist Injured At Gillman

A motorcyclist came off his bike at Gillman this morning but wasn't discovered until hours after the crash.

Emergency services were called to the Grand Trunkway, Gillman about 8.15am on Monday 19 January after a member of the public found a rider injured down an embankment.

It is believed the rider lost control and came off his bike around three hours earlier but was unable to call for help due to his injuries.

MFS and SAAS assisted to retrieve the 39-year-old Angle Park man from the embankment, and he was taken to hospital by ambulance. He has sustained serious spinal injuries but fortunately his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
