A person has died following a collision between a motorcycle and truck in Port Melbourne this morning, Victoria Police say.
The two vehicles collided on the Westgate Freeway shortly before 8am.
The rider of the motorcycle has died at the scene. Police have yet to determine the gender of the rider.
The truck driver, who was not injured, stopped and rendered assistance.
The Westgate Freeway inbound will be closed for several hours.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
