A motorcyclist has died after being struck by a car in Nunawading this morning, Victoria Police say.
The male rider was turning from Springvale Road onto the Eastern Freeway on-ramp when was struck by a car about 6.30am.
The rider has died at the scene.
The male driver was arrested at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the crash.
The north-bound lanes of Springvale Road have been closed while police examine the scene.
