Motorists urged to delay travel at Jindabyne due to dangerous conditions, NSW

Police are urging motorists in the Jindabyne area, in the state’s alpine region, to delay travel if possible due to dangerous conditions on local roads, NSW Police say.

Snow and ice have made travel conditions particularly treacherous, with police and other emergency services responding to a number of traffic incidents.

Police ask all motorists to consider delaying their travel until conditions improve.

Those still planning to use local roads should exercise extreme caution and be patient due to expected delays. Chains should be fitted to vehicles at Berridale prior to entering the Jindabyne area.
