A Mount Gravatt woman has kicked off her Friday morning shaking like a leaf after a call from us delivered the news that she pocketed a jaw-dropping $5 million in last night's Powerball draw.
The Brisbane resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Powerball draw 1540, drawn Thursday 20 November 2025 and looks forward to a total prize of $5,251,913.32.
The cheerful Queenslander will receive her multi-million-dollar win in two weeks, on Friday 5 December 2025, setting the scene for a merry and bright Christmas and New Year.
"Oh my god! Oh my god!" she joyfully yelled when we revealed her life-changing win.
"Are you serious? I've won $5 million?! Oh my god! Oh my god! I had absolutely no idea!
"I'm shaking! I can't stop shaking! My husband is right next to me and we're in absolute disbelief!
"I was so close to not calling you back because I thought it was a dodgy phone number and I didn't recognise it, but I'm so glad I've called you back.
"Now that I look at the numbers, the winning numbers are all family numbers - birthdates and anniversaries!
"Oh my gosh. I can't believe this. It's such great news."
With $5 million to grace her bank account before the end of 2025, the winning woman shared some initial plans for her prize.
"This means my husband can retire!" she shared.
"I always said that if I won the lottery that I wouldn't tell anyone, but I want to shout it from the rooftop now!
"Thank you so much!"
Her winning marked 12-game entry was purchased via The Lott app - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
