Mount Pritchard Teen Missing, Police Seek Help

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from Sydney's southwest.

Tyrone Mataia, aged 17, was last seen walking on Dartford Street, Mount Pritchard, about 10.45am yesterday (Wednesday 22 April 2026).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and his family have concerns for Tyrone's welfare due to his age.

Tyrone is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 180cm tall, of thin build, with thick black hair.

He was last seen wearing black zip-up hoodie, black beanie, black shirt, with long black pants, and black sneakers.

He is known to frequent the Fairfield and surrounding areas.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Fairfield Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
