Mount Waverley impound 7 August

Nunawading Highway Patrol members have intercepted a vehicle in Mount Waverley this morning after it was observed allegedly travelling 53km/h over the speed limit.

The 2017 BWM was allegedly traveling southbound on Stephenson's Road at a speed of 113km/h in a 60km/h zone.

The vehicle was intercepted, and the female driver returned a positive oral fluid test.

She was also driving on a suspended license with a 3-year-old girl unrestrained in the back standing behind the driver seat.

The McKinnon woman will be charged with numerous offences including drive at a speed dangerous, exceed speed, child under 7 years not restrained and breaching the directions of the CHO.

The vehicle has been impounded for 30 days at a cost of $932.40.
