Members from the Northern Territory Police Gangs Taskforce have charged a 27-year-old man after he was allegedly found with methamphetamine and a knife.
Police allege that they observed the man speeding and driving erratically on McMillans Road toward Rothdale Road, before abandoning the vehicle and running into a nearby residence in Moil, Northern Territory Police say.
The man was apprehended shortly after outside the residence and was allegedly found to be in possession of 0.1 grams of methamphetamine, a folding tactical knife, digital scales and unused clip seal bags.
He also returned a positive result to a drug analysis test.
The man was later charged with:
- Exceed speed limit by 15 – 30km/h
- Drive with prohibited drug in blood
- Possess Schedule 1 dangerous drug in a public place
- Possess/use/carry controlled weapon
- Breach of bail
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Supreme Court on 30 October 2018.
